Into Kuala Lumpur and back out to Borneo

Tuesday 9/20/11:
After 3 jets totaling 24 hours of flight time, 1 high speed train, and 1 taxi, I finally arrived at my hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The the size of this city and it's buildings are amazing. We didn't have too much time in KL since we had to wake up at 4:30AM to fly to Borneo but we did manage to do some exploring. Adam and I decided to take in some of the local culture and headed over to Chinatown to get some food. After eating and exploring some shops we decided to walk around a bit and didn't pay too much attention to where we were going. Our logic was that the hotel was right next to the largest building in the city so we could just look for that and head in that direction. This wasn't the smartest idea for multiple reasons: The first, is that since the buildings are so big distance is really hard to judge. The second, is the building we picked as our way point was completely round, which meant when facing it we had no idea what direction we were going in. This resulted in us getting lost and wondering around for a few miles in some not so nice parts of town. In the end we made it back and crashed. Leaving the hotel at 5AM to spend another 2 hours on a jet headed to Borneo!
